I didn’t know it was illegal to look at images of people engaging in sexual acts on the internet. I thought it was just a normal thing that people did. I was wrong. And I’m not the only one.
This is a good example of how we may unintentionally look at illegal content on the internet. All of us have encountered this in our lives. For most of us, internet browsing is a solitary activity. We are on our computers, cell phones, or tablets as a mode of communication, but we aren’t there very often. The most time we are there is when we are in class with friends or our children have appointments.
A user (yes, I know this is a real username) on the internet has recently uploaded a photo with his or her phone. The photo is of a woman wearing a hijab and a miniskirt, and it clearly shows the hijab covering her face. What follows next is a comment on Instagram, with a link to the photo.
There is no doubt that the internet has become a common place for many people to indulge in illegal activity. While it is still illegal, it is becoming more accessible and it is easier to find out what is going on.
I’m very serious when I say I only use porn to get the most out of this site (which is why I’m not only a big fan of porn but of this website as a whole). I don’t really think of it as pornographic, but as a part of my life. But I’ll admit that I do accidentally and unintentionally look at some of these porn images and other inappropriate material here and there.
I have been lucky enough to have some fairly unique circumstances in which I have been able to be honest with people about what I am doing online. One of these situations has made me feel that my actions are more important than my words. This has been a hard thing for me to come to terms with, as I think that my words are more important than my actions.
I had to do it again. I was at my desk and I accidentally looked at a link that I had written down and typed that I should delete. I forgot, but I still had to do it. I had just been reading a book and had put down the book and was about to close my office door when I looked at it and saw it. I just had to make sure that I didn’t accidentally look at it.
A friend of mine recently got a call from the police in the middle of the night because he was walking down the street and accidentally looked at a website that contained illegal material. He wasn’t even looking at the site, he was just staring at the screen.
While you may not realize it at the moment, you have been searching for illegal material on the internet or otherwise accidentally looking at a large amount of materials that you were not aware of.
